St Augustine (11 - 12 Dec 10)

We have our Winnebago!! Its an Itasca Sundancer and is called “Thelma&Louise” due to
the taxi driver at Heathrow airport saying we were like them. After the broken leg incident on the last trip we can assure everyone that we have no intentions of driving off a cliff.
Not sure it was jet lag or excitement but we went to Walmart at 5:30am and 3 hours later with 2 trolleys full loaded the van with everything from plates to torches to “poo gloves”.
Adele drove from Jacksonville to St Augustine, a short trip of 45 minutes as we wanted to play with our new vehicle, learn how to do the most important thing like dumping the black water, we should really be referred to as the brown water!
We found a campsite called Faver Dykes ($20 a night), not sure what attracted us to the place but it was small, friendly, in the middle of the forest, quiet and peaceful with helpful neighbours, luckily.
Firstly we could not get the electric to work, it was a good idea to actually switch it on at the circuit breaker. Then found it took us hours to fill up our clean water but still reading empty and then our neighbours pointed out we were putting in the wrong outlet. They could see we might need help and gave us a copy of “Exploring America by RV” and their email if we needed help along the way. Very bless!
It is so quiet and dark during the night in the forest and after our Walmart trip was asleep by 8pm.
This is the first time in a year we have put away our stuff which feels good but weird at the same time.
